Lipstick Jungle - Behind the Scenes

So Thursday February 7th 10/9c the much hyped Lipstick Jungle by the author of Sex and the City, will debut on NBC. The show follows the main characters; Movie Exec Wendy Healy, Editor-in-Chief Nico Reilly, and Fashion Designer Victory Ford through their trials and tribulations in NYC. Sound familiar? The termination of Sex and the City has left a gaping hole and face it we miss female drama, humility and the edgy fashion of the show. Will Lipstick Jungle be able to fill those minolo's? Watch next thursday and let me know what you think?

And to get you all ready for Fashion Week here is a debut video from the stylists at Lipstick Jungle.

Tinkling Pink

Back when I was a teenager, my i-am-not-a-girl-so-treat-me-like-a-boy mental state consciously rejected anything related to pink. I never wanted to appear girly even for a bit so black and white were always my option back then. Nowadays, it seems pretty awkward that pink has actually been my favorite color that brightens up my day. I don't see it in a "pink is for girls" view anymore but rather as a color that has multiplex attitudes. Depends on how you work your clothes, pink can appear from very feminine to very punk-ish. Whatever, why in the world am I talking about pink anyway hehehe....

Lightening Flowers

My new personal favorites from Topshop....:)

Chinese Laundry Over The Knee Boots

Serena (Blake Lively) recently wore these Chinese Laundry Over the Knee Boots. They also come in brown and gray but I haven't been able to find the gray in stock anywhere. And the best part is they are only $99!

Project Runway Levi's Dress

So last week's Project Runway challenge was to design an iconic piece from old Levi's Jeans. The winner of the challenge is to have their item produced and sold in Levi stores. The winner was this dress by Ricky, and although I think it is Ricky's best design yet I wonder about the commercial viability of a dress this skimpy? Would you buy this dress?

Madewell 1937 Contest Winner

A few weeks ago I posted a contest to see who could pick out an item on the Madewell 1937 website and come up with the best outfit. The winning entry is by Nana. Here is what she had to say "My favorite item from the Madewell is "The Embellisher" jeweled necklace for $14.99. It's so chic and it's such a steal! It reminds me of Lanvin. I'd pair the necklace with a flirty mini dress by Rag&Bone for $515, some cute black tights from asos.com for $9.12, a bauble ring for $68.43 also from asos.com, the stunning "Zoe" Botkier clutch for $295 from neimanmarcus.com, and finally a pair of Jimmy Choo "Spell" slingback boots for an indulgent $1200. I love this look because it's girly but a little edgy at the same time."

You see things, and you say, "Why?"

(Background image from here)

Quote of The Day

"Women dress alike all over the world:
they dress to be annoying to other women."

- Elsa Schiaparelli -

Till We Meet Again

I hate bidding on Ebay!! Arrgghhhhhh.....I didn't sleep all night just to make sure nobody outbids me, and here I am at almost 9 o'clock in the morning, just 22 minutes before my victory, suddenly being OUTBID continuously by this person who would just never stop beating me!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYY?? Now the price set is way over my budget...goodbye black lame legging....we would've made a great couple actually, wouldn't we?? *cries*

DIY Eyeball Necklace

I felt so lazy this morning when my mom asked me to accompany her to some bead market...but soon as I arrived, I was soooooo inspired. It didn't occur to me that I would be seeing such a huge market that sells various type of beads, ribbons, laces, buttons, studs and all the things you need for some perfect DIY projects... hhmm...yum yum. We didn't spend much time there though (probably like less than 20 minutes...so disappointing), so all I got was some plastic chains, quirky eyeball-like beads and some yards of thin rope for future DIY works....

Tadaaaaaaaaaaaa....now this is my new necklace....:)

Do you guys like it? Hehhehe.....

When Books Become Bags

Then it is called a book-bag hehehhe... like these...

These one-of-a-kind book bags are the creation of Caitlin, and is made of real old hardback books...wow...if I can choose the book I want to 'preserve' as a bag, it would definitely be the book 'The World is Flat' hehehhe...I love that book.

Polkadot Dilemma

Sometimes I feel like being so sweet and girly, sometimes the real 'hard' side of me blows in. I do enjoy being both, but I don't know whether that's normal for a person or not...

Tell me, boyfriend...which one do you prefer?

Let's say if I were to wear this polkadot blouse, which would you like better?
